By accident or grace I found your site on line through the Dominican Sisters of Peace revised website. I have experienced a personal peace knowing that you exist in celebration of the earth and in communion / community as ones seeking human and divine meaning in life. From what I can read your work seems to bring to life the vision of Peter Maurin, and to bring refreshment to ancient notions of prophetic community life as remembered in the dual monasteries of ancient Ireland. That the critters form part of your community spirit and mission is music to my ears. Thank you for being. Thanks for reminding us of the reign of God

Good morning, My name is Mark Baus and I just spoke with a fine individual on the phone a few minutes ago. This is my first visit to your site and wanted to continue a dialogue with you. I think I might have overwhelmed you with the possibility of a wedding reception and dance at your place and after seeing what you traditionally do I can understand. However, let me please add that I think we have much in common and feel that there are still possibilities as far as I am concerned for this to still happen. First off, I am a life long farmer from German immagrents (5th generation), my wife and I have had llamas since 1990, and a farm setting was really what my daughter was hoping for. I understand that physical room might still be an issue but much of the details like electricity, bathrooms, and parking can easily be worked around in my mind. First, I have a generator for electricity, portable bathrooms for rent can be brought in for the occasion, and I have a truck that I could shuttle people back and forth with from parking along the road…my first thought anyway. I am a very “can do” type of person and would really like to make this work if we can come to some peace with you and your associates at the farm. If not, than that is a sign that God has other plans for us and we will move on in finding a place for our daughter to celebrate her wedding.

Thank you for considering our proposition, Mark Baus

Thank you, Mark, but we are completely booked up the week from June 1-8. We have the annual Prairie Women’s League from June 1-2, June Jaunt (We are part of the “jaunt” on Hwy 96 from Tribune to Ellinwood) from June 2-3 and june 4-8 we have our annual Children’s Camp. It would have been interesting to work with you, a “can do” person, to see what might be possible.
    Sr. Terry
